Lynn Brock was licensed as a realtor and mortgage broker in 1994 where she worked briefly for Help U Sell. She shifted to serving as a wholesale Subprime Account Executive position selling subprime loans along the Gulf Coast of Florida. For 2.5 years, through her wholesale sales duties, Lynn learned how to read credit reports, structure loan files, underwriting guidelines, financial solutions and strategies to close nearly any transaction.

In 1998, Lynn obtained her FL real estate broker’s license and opened her own mortgage company, Lender’s Direct. At the time, west of the Mississippi, Real Estate brokers were able to close mortgage transactions, which she did in an array of States, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, North, and South Carolina. She has personally renovated over 20+ homes in the Sarasota area and has become pretty adept at drywall repair.

Prior to establishing Brock Realty (in 2007), Lynn worked with Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue as their Public Education and Information Officer. She has been on hundreds of fire scenes, vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies. Her last five years with the department was spent as a fire inspector for heavy industrial, retail, and office complexes.

Lynn grew up in Stamford, CT riding horses, boating and trained with a strong work ethic by her family’s stationery business, Brock Press. The masthead for Brock Realty was based upon a similar design developed by her grandfather and father for Brock Press. (As a side note, Brock Realty is federally trademarked and holds a high rating with Dun & Bradstreet.)

Lynn raised 3 children in Sarasota, all graduates of Pine View School for the Gifted. Lynn holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Training Development from Nova Southeast. She also attended UConn, and the NY School of Interior Design. She is a member of Sarasota Tiger Bay Club, Vice Chair of the Sarasota Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and she trains weekly in cross fit and finds time for family and friends. Lynn is a collector of street and graffiti art, which she proudly displays in the office.

Lynn got into the real estate industry at the recommendation and insistence of a friend that indicated it would be a good fit.
