There were 769 closed sales in August 2019, which shows an increase of 7.4 percent from the 716 closed sales in August 2018. We moved into September with 2,365 active listings in Sarasota County. This number shows a drop of 8.9 percent from this time last year.

Thereโ€™s a 3.5 months supply of available homes in Sarasota County. Last year at this time there was a 3.9 months supply. For the market to be considered balanced, there needs to be a supply of 5.5 months of inventory.
